Finally did my taxes yesterday. On one hand it is hard to write big checks to anyone who didn’t help make the money. I believe more in spending tax than income tax but that’s a discussion for another day. One way or another the infrastructure that I use every day has to be paid for. And I have no problem doing that but I would be lying if I said that working as hard as I do and then giving someone else that money is not my favorite thing to do. On the other hand I am proud of how well I did in domain investing in 2014. I got better at what I do and made a lot of money. To the point where I actually took home more money than I do from the nursery. Of course the nursery is 10 times the business and much much larger but like most growing businesses, all money is reinvested. I guess I do the same in domaining as I spent 70% of the money buying new domains and the rest paying renewals, domain bills, and having a good time. I am fortunate that all domain money is extra and not one penny has to go into every day life bills. I can have fun or keep building. Here’s to 2015 being just as good. So far, so good.
